Type 560 Model A: Two Axis Adjustable Instrument and Camera Mount

This mount, currently the largest of our standard line, is designed for such cameras as Flight Research 70 mm MOD. V, Photosonics 70 mm 1B; 70 mm 5B; Mitchell 35 mm BNC and others of similar mass and configuration.

The large area of its dovetail plate and attachment plate as well as its low profile make for great stability when handling the harmonization of these relatively massive cameras.

When it is attached to a tracking mount or the like, or when its receptacle only is used where harmonization is accomplished by other methods, it provides precise restorability and permits practically instant removal and restoration.

A special feature of this mount is the use of three lock bolts rather than the single one used in the center of the Type 195 mounts. This assures complete lateral stability of its elements even under considerable loading.

All major members are of high strength aluminum alloy, black anodized. Screw parts are of stainless steel.

This mount when attached to a HORIZONTAL surface has a 24° azimuth and 18° elevation range.
