Type 196 Model D: Two Axis Adjustable Instrument and Camera Mount

This adjustable mount, similar in size and capacity to the 195 Model D mount, incorporates a worm gear adjustment of the elevation axis. This design feature allows for finer adjustment of the elevation axis. The 196-D mount will accommodate still and motion picture cameras in a variety of applications at test sights, at sled tracks, in laboratories and aboard aircraft. This unit can also be used to mount and target video cameras, lasers, CCD and line scan cameras.

Stock dovetail plates are supplied undrilled but can be machined to your mounting specifications. Special plates or brackets may also be attached for your particular application.

The 196-D has a range of 24° azimuth and 18° elevation. It features the patented DUPLEX-VEE-LOCK quick disconnect receptacle and dovetail plate system. Major elements of this mount are constructed of high strength anodized aluminum and screw parts are of stainless steel.
